Cheryl Honey wins Jefferson Award

Cheryl Honey, founder of the community-strengthening groups Family Support Network International and Community Weaving, was one of five recipients for the 2007 Washington State Jefferson Awards. She says, "I'm interested in his idea of participatory democracy, in which the government supports the efforts of its citizens, rather than its citizens supporting the efforts of the government." more
