New Canadian political party: Citizens' Assembly
The Citizens' Assembly Party is being initiated by Bruce Krayenhoff of British Columbia. It would use randomly selected citizens to make policy decisions and appoint executives, rather than rely on politicians (who have been known to self-select, on occasion, on their ability to charm and finagle their way through the election process). more
Note: this is not the same as Ontario's Citizens' Assembly, a group of randomly selected citizens who have reviewed Ontario's electoral system over a period of two years.
